Consecutive Interpretation

The interpreter takes notes and translates at sequential intervals.
Usually, two interpreters are needed for a full day.
No special systems are required, standard sound systems are good enough.

The interpreter’s opinion:
Consecutive interpretation is often used together with chuchotage (whispered interpretation) for translating each presentation and/or dialogues.

For the organizers
Please, remember to provide the agenda and any other useful information.
Remember: the intepreter needs to sit/stand next to the speaker.
Please, remember that consecutive interpretation doubles timing!
